Instead of holding on to the hurt we’ve experienced in life. Try Forgiveness. Many times when we experience pain we tend to bury it deep in our hearts. We cram a vessel meant to sustain love, with anger, resentment, pain and unforgiveness. Living with such poisonous hatred will eventually choke the life out of you. Learn to live free from noxious behavior of unforgiveness and practice forgiveness. Forgive the boss, who pass you over for the promotion. Forgive the friend, who spread untruths about you. Forgive the former lover, who did not reciprocate. Forgive the parent or adult, who abused you as a child. Forgive the person who hurt you. Beginning today, practice forgiveness and live free. Open your heart and let the hurt drain out and love pour in.
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, buy a house, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough and we’ll be more content when they are. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is there’s no better time to be HAPPY than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges.
It’s best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, relish every moment that you have and appreciate it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with…and remember that time waits for no one.
So, stop waiting… Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until you die.
There is no better time than right now to be HAPPY. Happiness is the journey, not a destination.

“Be studious in your profession, and you will be learned. Be industrious and frugal, and you will be rich. Be sober and temperate, and you will be healthy. Be in general virtuous, and you will be happy. At least you will, by such conduct, stand the be.” -Benjamin Franklin
Do you know your values? Like really know them? If someone asked you right now would you be able to give them an honest answer? It would be wise to sit down and go over what your values are because as you go through your day, check in with yourself when you make a decision. Does the action I am about to take match my values? If not, you may want to turn away and save yourself some pain.
It is no easy task to know and check yourself constantly but the payoff like with any hard work you do, will be magnificent.
An act of kindness is a spontaneous gesture of goodwill towards someone. Kind words and deeds come from a state of compassion, produced by a fundamental response deep within all of us. When we carry out an act of kindness it is a message from one heart to another, an act of love, an unspoken “I care” statement.
Being kind is a gratifying experience. It makes you feel good, and
useful, and alive. When you are kind it triggers a number of beneficial physical and psychological responses. The most obvious reaction is the ‘feel good’ sensation.
It’s like a feeling of elation.
A kind act can come in any form such as sincerely complimenting someone about their hair, eyes, smile, laugh, an item of clothing or jewelry, their positive outlook, their caring attitude, or something they do or have done well. Giving unconditionally. Listening without judgment or prejudice.
Perform an act of kindness today, you never know how a simple jester can impact someone’s life.
